Gap Year International aims to present volunteers with a sabbatical year, typically a half or year-long break before or after college/university during which volunteers engage in various educational and developmental activities, such as travel or some type of regular work.  Are you passionate about eco volunteering and want to support environmental volunteer abroad projects, or get involved with conservation volunteer abroad opportunities? GYI affordable environment and conservation volunteer program enable international volunteers to support conservation and sustainable organic farming efforts within communities abroad. You can choose to volunteer with GYI from 1 week up to 24 weeks in Wilderness, located in South Africa.

If you have always dreamed of visiting Africa, supporting and work in urban cultures, Gap Year International offers the most exciting and affordable placements for volunteers who would like to  work with local team to support and empower local communities.  You’re invited to stay for a minimum of four weeks and can expect to work four to six hours per day Monday through Saturday each week.  Becoming a community volunteer on your gap year is a fantastic way to make a real difference to a developing local community and to help improve the lives of people in need.
