What to bring

Personal Clothing

  • T-shirts
  • Shorts for hiking (khaki or tan colours)
  • Long pants for hiking (khaki or tan colours)
  • 1 Warm Hoodie – Fleece (can be cold at times)
  • 1 hiking weatherproof jacket (any colour)
  • 4 pairs hiking socks
  • 4 pairs running socks
  • Underwear – sports orientated
  • Swimwear –sports orientated
  • Swimming goggles
  • 1 pair hiking boots (Well-worn and comfortable)
  • 1 pair running shoes (Fitness sessions daily)
  • 1 pair beach sandals
  • 1 hiking bag 40 L
  • 1 Camelbak or similar hydration pack (Brown or Camo colours, 1-3 litres) **Don’t think should specify colour as these are difficult to come by??
  • 2 water bottles to fit into hiking bag. (750 ml-1 Litre)
  • 1 multi-tool knife
  • Hat (natural colours such as tan, brown or green
  • Camera
  • Headlamp
  • 1 Swimming towel
  • 1 Shower towel
  • Binoculars, great for game and bird viewing (Not compulsory)
  • **Casual wear will only be for free time and own personal travel, please keep it limited

Team uniforms will be issued to you on arrival

  • Antiseptic cream
  • Headache / pain medicine
  • Insect repellent
  • Tweezers
  • Eye drops
  • Safety pins 8 units
  • Bandages x 2 (specify type)
  • Diarrhea medicine
  • 2 x Re-hydration sachets

Please note the safari portion of the programme will travel through malaria areas. We advise you to speak to your doctor or travel clinic prior to traveling to South Africa

*Please also bring biodegradable soap and shampoo for safari as we will be visiting biologically sensitive areas
